"Oh, Bother!
Why are we gassing ourselves with CO2?
As that old bumper sticker asked, "Are We Having Fun Yet?"
Perhaps "they" have given us the highest standard of misery in history.
"Wu wei, wu wei." - - - If I remember correctly, the closest translation is, "By not doing, all things get done."
Think upon Eyor , and listen to the words of my mentor, "Don't let your brain over-load your ass."
This concept is embodied in part of a prayer I learned in my youth:
". . . we have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts.
We have done those things which we ought not to have done,
and we have left undone those things which we ought to have done."
"Sins of commission" and "sins of omission." Be careful of the latter. It may lead to the "Law of Unintended Consequences." (Translation: "The Road to Hell is Paved with Good Intentions)!
Some of us just had to rush in and do something about the air. Anything. "Because we care." "DO SOMETHING!"
And, we got the same predictable result - - - we went "from the frying pan to the fire!"
Oh, bother!
It is time again, in human history, to place a premium on wisdom and "the old ways." Get a grip.
